Voltes V: A Visual Exploration is an ongoing project that explores the cultural phenomenon of “Voltes V” in the Philippines, a beloved anime that resonated deeply with audiences during the Marcos era.

Featuring imagery from Questor Magazine covers, this zine captures the nostalgic essence of a show that has shaped Filipino pop culture across generations.  

An abridged 16 page zine was fully produced and sold in 2024.










Process

Testing was done at SVA Riso Lab over the summer of 2024. Experimenting with screen frequencies, color profiles, size and paper.
